Russia Invades: The Summary

People are dying of thirst, starvation, and shelling. Loud noises can be heard all around the country. It’s been a month since the first siren went off in Kyiv. Ukraine’s existence and its 40+ million lives are at stake, as President Vladimir Putin of Russia is relentlessly destroying the country. There are several families in need of shelter, evacuation, and food.

This is the largest scale war since WWII. This invasion began on February 24th, 2022.

This unprovoked attack Putin says was because Ukraine was part of ancient Russian lands. This is a war between autocracy and democracy. There are tens of millions of people endeavoring to flee, the rest staying to protect their homeland.

U.S President Joe Biden has recently had a summit with NATO and arrived at Poland to address the problem. Agreeing to keep 100,000 refugees in the U.S, he discussed matters and unleashed a number of new sanctions against Russia. “Putin chose this war, and now he and his country will bear the consequences!” announced President Biden after the invasion began.
